WHAT IS UX DESIGN?
The purpose of UX design is to ensure your product meets the customers needs simply and elegantly, using user research insights to amplify conversions for your business.
UX or user experience design, as opposed to basic graphic design, is a business-minded design methodology that is both results-focused and end user-oriented.
UX design goes beyond aesthetics to think holistically about your bigger goals by employing methods like user testing, user interviews and rapid prototyping to validate the success of a design.
IT’S ALL ABOUT TRUST
I got into design because I care deeply about how things are made. Relationships matter, and a great relationship with my clients from the outset is the key to the success of any project. I make it my goal to understand everything about my clients’ aspirations so that I can transform that into something truly useful for their customers.
You can trust me to be thorough, professional and to always deliver above and beyond your expectations. In the end, a strong client/designer relationship translates directly into a trusting business/customer relationship through the user’s experience of the end product.
MY PROCESS
My goal is customer success. To achieve this I use a 4-part process to first understand what success looks like, then create a plan to get there, validate my ideas, and finally implement my designs. The process looks like this:
Discovery— Plan the overall strategy with the help of all stakeholders
Define— Detail all project requirements so everyone is on the same page
Blueprint— Illustrate the user experience (sketches, wireframes, user testing etc.)
Implement— Apply the blueprint, train the client, and hand-off the project
The process changes slightly depending on the project, but generally follows these steps.
PRICING
I can work with any budget. Prices vary widely by project so please contact me for a specific price for your project. I’m happy to give a free consultation to determine your needs and a reasonable budget for your project. A good rule of thumb is to invest 5-10 percent of your annual revenue on your website and online marketing budget— because after-all, your website is your most important employee! We can work out a flat, project based rate or an hourly rate for smaller one-off jobs.
Below is a selected list of services I offer with approximate prices as a point of reference. This is not a comprehensive list—let me know what you’re dreaming up and I can probably make it happen for you!
